Prior to qualifying as a corporate solicitor in 2015, Jayne trained in litigation whilst she was a paralegal. Jayne specialises in transactional work, disposals and acquisitions acting for owner managed businesses; but also, joint ventures, reorganisations, and private equity investments, with experience of acting on both sides. She acts for lenders on corporate lending transactions, and she advises start-ups on general corporate governance. Jayne’s experience ranges from start-up businesses to multimillion turnover companies both in the UK and internationally. She has previously acted for American, German and New Zealand based clients. She supports and advises a vast number of clients who are in industries including technology, education, retail, industrial and FCA regulated businesses. Some well-known clients of Jaynes are Mashbo, Enrich Education, Colour Consultancy, Protein Bargain Wholesale, River Capital, HSBC, and NatWest.
Having known Denise Walker and Hazel Walker for years, Jayne trusted that any goals and ambitions that they have regarding the direction of the firm are both genuine and are focused on positively driving change in the legal sector. Jayne was attracted to Glenville Walker given the boutique size of the firm and the first-class skillset of the corporate team, as working within a specialist team ensures a more personal service for clients, enhancing their experience with a dedicated advisor from start to finish. This approach enables advisors to intrinsically understand clients and their specific business needs which leads to stronger long-term client relationships that deliver more commercial solutions.
Jayne has seen Glenville Walker continue to make waves in the Northwest and has seen an increased trend of quality hires over the past 12 months and is excited to be joining the firm.
Jayne is looking forward to finding her feet as a Corporate Senior Associate and embracing the new responsibilities that come with the role. She is particularly excited to learn from other members of the team. Not only will she have an amazing mentor in Denise, but she also hopes to actively invest in other members of her team and help promote other aspiring young lawyers at the firm.
Jayne is on the board of The Women’s Organisation which helps promote women in business across the region. She is well connected in the Northwest and is looking forward to helping strengthen existing connections, whilst also building new relationships and synergies with other key intermediaries.
In her spare time Jayne enjoys travelling, eating out and reading. She also likes to get out into the fresh air and spend time with her Alaskan Malamute dog, Mylo.
