Celebrating new talent at Glenville Walker

Our Team

Glenville Walker celebrates the qualification of their newest Property law expert.

Glenville Walker are highly regarded for inspiring and investing in the next generation by working with Universities in the Liverpool city region. The firm are delighted to share that their latest trainee, Lincoln Nelson, has qualified as a Solicitor now specialising in Property and Construction.

Lincoln joined the firm as a legal administration assistant whilst he was at the University of Liverpool, achieving a 2:1, and then went on to complete his LLM at the University of Law graduating with a distinction. Lincoln’s alignment with our values of being solution driven, tenacious and personable resulted in his being offered a training contract in July 2022.

During Lincoln's time at the firm, he has gained experience in all areas of our full-lifecycle business law offering being corporate transactions, commercial litigation and to now specialise in commercial property.

Shadowing Guy Pattison, Director and Head of Property and Construction as well as Partners Philip Rees-Roberts, and Laura Harrild, Lincoln has gained top-flight training, knowledge and experience.

In putting that work into practice, Lincoln now works closely with property developers, private owner’s and corporates in relation to their commercial properties needs. A recent example being working with a large restaurant chain in their acquisition of new restaurant sites across the UK.

One of the transactions for which Lincoln was most proud of was assisting on a refinance where Glenville Walker were acting on a dual representation basis for both a bank and a borrower. The property team completed the deal involving 2 loans, 11 properties and 17 tenancy agreements in exactly 6 weeks from instruction. Lincoln thrived on being able to deliver for both clients in such a timely manner.

We asked Lincoln, what attracted you to Glenville Walker?

He responded, ‘For me what really stood out about Glenville Walker and what continues to stand out is the great culture within the firm. There’s a conducive environment that promotes hard work with expert training from some of the best in the business in their respective fields.  Glenville Walker have supported me immensely and enabled me to progress from a legal administration assistant all the way to a fully qualified solicitor.’

Guy Pattison, Director and Head of Property and Construction, said, ‘Lincoln is a great asset to Glenville Walker and his qualification is well-deserved. He is tenacious, hardworking and personable which are qualities we take pride in. We are excited for Lincoln to be a part of our firms continued growth.’

Lincoln added, ‘The road to becoming a qualified solicitor appears very daunting at first but with hard work, perseverance, and self-belief it is remarkable what you can achieve along the way.’

Congratulations again Lincoln on your recent qualification and playing a vital role in our commercial property team.
