Company Reorganisation Enhanced Value for Sale
Denise Walker advised upon the restructuring of a business with four separate and independent trading divisions to tax efficiently create 4 separate trading companies more attractive for sale independently.
The original Company operated 4 different business as separate trading divisions and whilst each division was successful in its own right it was recognised that it would be unlikely that a trade buyer would want to take on all of the business divisions as their trades were quite diverse.
The obvious solution was to split the different trading divisions out into 4 separate companies each readily saleable in its own right. Denise devised and implemented the structure of the deal and worked closely with tax advisors to ensure that the process was tax efficient. The Clients continued to trade the Businesses successfully post reorganisation and now feel they have more flexibility to control their future opportunities
