Glenville Walker are delighted to announce that Stephen Mungo has been promoted to Solicitor within the corporate team as the firm support their ever-growing number of clients and continue to invest in the next generation of talent.

Since incorporation, Glenville Walker have continued to promote a wealth of talent with the aim of inspiring and investing in the next generation of solicitors. The firm has a national presence for delivering specialist business advice in areas such as corporate law, litigation, intellectual property, commercial law, and commercial property with an expert team that helps solve all business focused legal issues.

The corporate team is spearheaded by Director and Head ofBusiness Law, Denise Walker, who is recognised in Chambers and is also features in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame. Denise uses her many years of experience to support, lead and inspire individuals to be the best quality corporate lawyers on the market. Stephens recent promotion strengthens the firm’s ability to handle the rapidly growing number of corporate and commercial transactions generating from within the firm’s client base.

Stephen joined Glenville Walker in July 2022 as a TraineeSolicitor, having previously worked as a paralegal at an international law firm in Manchester. Glenville Walker’s personable approach to legal services is what caught Stephens initial attention. He appreciated how Glenville Walker took the time to understand a client’s goals and aspirations and in turn build long lasting relationships. Stephen acknowledged Glenville Walker’s desire to shakeup the legal sector for the better and wanted to be a part of it.

Following his recent promotion, Stephen will continue to assist the corporate team by acting for the firm’s clients on a range of corporate transactions and acquisitions such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and restructuring and insolvency. The firm’s approach has enabled him to carve his own path within the firm and take on an increasing amount of responsibility at a junior level. Denise Walker has supported him throughout his training to lead his own caseload, meet with clients and build his own personal brand under the umbrella of the firm.

As a corporate solicitor Stephen has worked on a range ofCorporate Finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions for both buying and selling businesses across the UK. Stephen is experienced in working with sectors such as Construction, Technology, Manufacturing, Retail and Care Homes.He has also acted on the restructuring of group companies and implementing exit plans for entrepreneurs such as Employee Ownership Trusts and ManagementBuyouts (MBO).

Stephen commented, “Growing up I always had this preconceived idea of what a Corporate Solicitor was supposed to look like and sound like, but as I’ve progressed throughout my career, I’ve realised there is no “norm” and that we are all different and have a lot to contribute. Glenville Walker resonates with this and celebrates what makes us all different.”

As Stephen transitions as a qualified solicitor, he looks forward to bettering his knowledge and gaining more experience across different work types and sectors, as well as building his own platform to meet new clients across the city region. He will to continue to support and assist clients with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
